Union Station Northampton Wedding in Massachusetts - Lauren + Brian
We’re gettin’ weird today with Lauren & Brian’s Union Station Northampton wedding in Massachusetts. Their day gave alllllll the spooky fall Halloween vibes and I was totally here for it. Between the handmade decor, epic couple, and the un-prompted booty grabs, this wedding came straight out of my dreams. Seriously, I think they may have hooked me up to a machine in the middle of the night and planned their wedding based on my subconscious desires. Kinda sexy of them ngl.
Lauren & Brian’s Union Station Northampton wedding in Massachusetts
I’m in love with Lauren and Brian… for a few reasons. First of all, they’re a pair of spooky nerds like me who are just super chill and laidback. My typa people. I actually took their spooky engagement photos a while back in Ludlow Massachusetts, and that’s when I knew our connection was lifelong. Lauren is an INCREDIBLE SFX makeup artist and she majorly showed off her skills during their engagement sesh. She did her and Brian’s skull makeup for their photos, which looked so dang cool. I was obsessed with her from that point on- but like, not in a weird way. Okay, maybe in a slightly weird way. But she knew what she was getting into!
When it was time to plan their wedding, I knew it was going to be a heckin’ good time. Because they’re such a unique and off-beat couple, I had 1000% confidence that their wedding was going to match that energy and I was not disappointed. One of my favorite parts was the handmade decor - they had a couple of their family members make and assemble the majority of their decorations. First of all, what amazing, beautiful, selfless family members they have, and second, THE DECOR WAS HALLOWEEN THEMED. The way they put it together was all just so fun and unique, I couldn’t think of anything more perfect for them.
Their Massachusetts wedding venue
Let’s take a moment for the VENUE PEOPLE! Union Station Northampton was the perfecttttt spot for Lauren & Brian’s Massachusetts October wedding. Because the venue is a literal old train station, it gave off all the dark and spooky vibes that L & B wanted for their Halloween/fall wedding. The Roosevelt Room at Union Station Northampton has classic brick walls that are gorgeous on their own OR serve as a blank slate for whatever you want to transform the space into. It can hold anywhere from 25 to 100 people, so you can get married here whether you’re having a cute lil’ intimate wedding or a fuggin’ PARTAY.
Another awesome thing about this venue is the location. It’s right smack dab in the middle of downtown Northampton with tons of cool places nearby. It’s right next to a bike path where Lauren and Brian took some of the prettiest portraits near some old brick buildings and bridges. ESPECIALLY if you’re having a fall wedding in Massachusetts, when the leaves will be all crunchy and delicious and colorful, this is the perfect place to be. Don’t just take my word for it, though! Just look at how wonderful these portraits came out.
Not only THAT, but there’s a popular bar downstairs from the venue called the Tunnel Bar, which is, you guessed it folks, an old tunnel under the city. It’s jazzy AF, so naturally, I had to kidnap Lauren and Brian so we could take some portraits there, too. and they were hot fire flames.
A fun and goofy wedding for the fun and goofy couple
If there’s one thing about L & B, it’s that they were devoted to just having a good time at their wedding. Screw sweating the small stuff, just let your day unfold, and have FUN! This couple really took their personalities and melded them together to have the perfect day for them. Not their parents, not their grandparents, not ANYONE but themselves. And everyone had the best time ever and danced their asses off in celebration of Lauren and Brian.
And I would like to give a HUGE kiss on the lips to Petal and Wren for providing the most beautiful bouquet & boutonniere for their Union Station Northampton wedding. If you need a florist in the Massachusetts area, hit ‘em up and tell ‘em I sent you!
