Arrow Park New York Wedding Photos
The immediate first thing you need to know about this Arrow Park, NY wedding is that it was ON Halloween. Not just around Halloween, or Halloween-themed, but on the friggin’ day. DEVOTION. I am obsessed with this spooky lil holiday, so right from the start, I knew this was gonna be my kinda party. LET’S GET INTO IT!
Arrow Park, NY wedding
As a (pretty damn experienced)(old)(been doin this forever) wedding photographer, I hope that trust me to help make your day everything you want it to be and more. This couple did just that; they gave me full creative freedom and trusted my whole process 100000% with no hesitations. They loved ME, I loved THEM, and that was that. I love when couples do this because that’s truly when I take the best wedding photos. So if you trust me a million and ten- perfect, you’re the one who gets the best dang photos ever. It’s a win-win-win.
The vibes of this Arrow Park, NY wedding were very dark and romantic while still remaining elegant AF. With the slight spookiness that was thrown in, it turned out to be the best Halloween wedding ever.
The Arrow Park wedding venue
WHEWEWWHEW was I obsessed with the Arrow Park wedding venue. First of all: major castle fairytale vibes. This venue is a private estate out in Hudson Valley, surrounded by acres of protected forests, native foliage, and wildlife. Not to mention the STUNNING lake views from the property will knock your socks off. This couple got married here in the fall, but this would also be a perfect venue for a New York winter wedding when everything is COVERED in snow. Arrow Park also offers overnight accommodations, so you can party the night away and not have to worry about going home after.
Drinking games and a packed dance floor
SAY. FRIGGIN’. LESS. Okay, so one thing they did that I LOVED was that they prioritized the experience of their guests. They got most of their portraits done before the ceremony (right after their first look) so they could spend cocktail hour mingling around with their people. During their reception, they played a game called “thunderstruck” and I am making it my personal responsibility to tell you about it so that you can also play it at your wedding. Okay? OKAY.
Naturally, you play the song Thunderstruck by AC/DC and everyone grabs a beer and gets in a circle. Then, one person starts drinking when they say "thunder" and they keep drinking until they heard the next "thunder." Then, the next person would pick up and continue... like doing a waterfall in kings. SO FUN. SO CHAOTIC. After that, the dance floor got funky and their people had a blast. It’s always my favorite thing to watch all of your guests have the time of their lives on the dance floor! Sound Events did a fantastic job coordinating this Arrow Park, NY wedding!
